The Virginia Society AIA is pleased to announce the following staff additions and promotions.
The addition of Maura Mays as Office Manager. Maura is a recent graduate of the University of Mary Washington, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English. She is a native Richmonder, enthusiastic about literature, music, and exploring the great outdoors.
The promotion of Rhea George to Deputy Directory. In her 8+ years at the Virginia Society AIA, Rhea has directed all of the VSAIA communication + outreach efforts and last year served as managing director (during John Braymer’s sabbatical), and assumed the responsibilities of Inform editor and Education Manager while those positions were vacant.
The promotion of Shanelle Calvin to Membership Manager. Shanelle has 9+ years with the Virginia Society AIA as the Member Services Coordinator. In her new role she’ll continue to concentrate on the ‘member experience’ and enhancing the level of service and support to our members.
The promotion of Cathy Guske to Communications Manager. Cathy has 10+ years with the Virginia Society AIA as the Sales Administrator. In her new role she will work on communications for all of the VSAIA programs, social media updates, member communications and work closely with Rhea George on promoting outreach programs and events.
